1.2 A client is deemed to have accepted these rules by placing a bet with Meridianbet.

2. Age Restrictions

2.1 Meridianbet only accepts bets from clients over the age of 18. The right to void any transactions with minors or defaulters is reserved.

3. Placing Bets

3.1 A bet shall be deemed void if it is not transmitted in full.

3.2 A number of bets may be treated as being one when a client places multiple copies of the same bet. Meridianbet reserves the right to void bets where there may be evidence of collusion between two or more clients.

3.3 Meridianbet reserves the right to refuse any bet or part of a bet without giving a reason at any time.

3.4 The minimum bet is EUR 0.1.

3.5 Where a client gives ambiguous instructions Meridianbet reserves the right to split the total staked between the potential outcomes. Where this is impractical Meridianbet reserves the right to void the bet. In either instance the decision of the company is final.

3.6 Multiple bets are accepted, however no such bet can be accepted where the result of one, influences the outcome of another (see Rule 7 â€" Related Bets).

3.7 All prices are subject to variation and become fixed at the time a bet is placed.

3.8 Meridianbet reserves the right to refuse any bet without explanation.

3.9 Bets will be accepted up to the advertised start time. If a bet is inadvertently accepted which includes an event after its start time, Meridianbet reserve the right to void any affected.

4. Customer Disputes

4.1 Meridianbet cannot be held responsible for any typing or human error in offering odds other than those intended. In the event that this occurs, Meridianbet reserves the right to either void any affected bets or to correct the error.

5. Bet Settlement

5.1 All winning bets will be settled at the prices shown on Meridianbet at the time the bet was accepted. This does not include palpable errors *or any post-game disputes by either team that alters the final outcome of a game at a later point.

5.2 A number of circumstances may arise where a bet or wager is accepted, or a payment is made, by us in error. A non-exhaustive list of such circumstances is as follows:

5.2.1 where we mis-state any odds or terms of a bet or gaming wager to You as a result of obvious error or omission in inputting the information or setting up a market, or as a result of a computer malfunction;

5.2.2 where we have made a ‘palpable error'. A palpable error occurs where:

5.2.2.1 in relation to bets placed prior to an event taking place, the prices/terms offered are materially different from those available in the general market; or

5.2.2.2 in relation to any event, the price/terms offered at the time the bet is placed are clearly incorrect given the probability of the event occurring;

*A palpable error could be any incorrect information published in regard to an event. For example, incorrectly (reversed) setup handicap, wrong team/teams/participants, incorrect deadlines or technical errors etc.

7. Related Bets

7.1 Multiple bets that combine different selections within the same event are not accepted where the outcome of one affects or is affected by the other.

For example, in a Football match involving Manchester United, two selections may be: Manchester United to win 2-0 and Manchester United's Wayne Rooney to be scorer of the first match goal.

The bets are related as Wayne Rooney's goal-scoring performance would influence Manchester United winning the match 2-0. A double combining the above selections is not possible using their market prices.

Special prices may be offered for the combined eventuality. When a special price is not available and such a bet is taken in error, it will be settled as two single bets with the stake equally divided.

7.2 Multiple bets that combine selections that are resolved at different times but still within the same tournament. These bets will be settled as instructed with the price of the second or subsequent selection being determined at each individual stage.

For example, in a Tennis tournament two selections may be: Roger Federer to win the semi-final of Wimbledon and Roger Federer to win the Wimbledon tournament outright.

As the odds of the second selection depends on the outcome of the first, the odds of Roger Federer winning the tournament at the time the bet was accepted cannot be used to calculate the double odds. The correct odds after the initial selection is completed will be attributed instead.

7.3 Multiple bets that combine selections within different events where the outcome of one affects or is affected by the other.

7.4 In the case of all multiples including selections with related outcomes, if a bet is taken inadvertently Meridianbet reserves the right to void part of or the whole of the bet.

8. Ante Post Bets

8.1 Ante post bets are those placed at prices on named selections taking part in an event before it has started. Bets are accepted all in, run or not, entered or not, which means that should your selection fail to take part in an event, the bet is a loser unless our rules for an individual sport specifically state otherwise.

9. Price Fluctuations

9.1 All prices are subject to fluctuation at all times and without notice.

10. Time of Acceptance

12. In Play

12.1 Meridianbet makes every attempt to establish a fair assessment of events that transpire during an In Play match on a good faith basis with reference to the TV broadcaster's coverage.

Situations may arise where it is not possible to categorically state what has happened. In the event that a matter requires closer examination, or the TV broadcaster's coverage is interrupted or fails to start on time for whatever reason, or there is a technical failure in the trading facilities available to Meridianbet's traders, we reserve the right to withhold settlement pending further investigation or to void bets.

If there is no further activity in an event following the acceptance of an In Play bet, these bets will be made void, unless specific sports rules state otherwise.

If it transpires that the TV broadcaster misses one or more events during a match or we settle a bet incorrectly, we reserve the right to make both positive and negative retrospective adjustments to accounts.

We rely on the decisions of the officials acting during the course of the game, match or tournament and these decisions shall be final regardless of whether they are subsequently overturned by appeal or otherwise.

In case of interruption in the course of a match, which is not to be continued or replayed on the same or next day, accomplished result is considered invalid for all games whose outcome may be different if the game is played to the end. For all bets completed by the moment of interruption, results are valid.

Exceptionally, for games Final Outcome and Double Chance, accomplished result is considered valid if the First Halftime is finished.

For games Wins First Set and Number of Sets, accomplished result is valid if it is known at the moment of interruption (e.g. if the interruption occurs in the 2nd set, result of Wins First Set is valid, etc); if the result is not known, quote 1 is counted. For the game Right Result quote 1 is counted.

For games Wins First Set and Number of Sets, accomplished result is valid if it is known at the moment of interruption (e.g. if the interruption occurs in the 2nd set, result of Wins First Set is valid, etc); if the result is not known, quote 1 is counted.

In case of interruption of a tennis match, all games are valid until the match is finished or official winner is announced.

In case of interruption of a hockey match before runout of the second third and without its continuance on the same day (local time), for all games quote 1 is counted.

In case of interruption of a hockey match after runout of the second third and without its continuance on the same day (local time), for all games result accomplished by the moment of interruption is counted.

In case of interruption of volleyball or baseball matches, quote 1 is always counted for all games.

Schedule for live betting is susceptible to change due to change in broadcast schedule.

Live betting may be interrupted in the course of play due to any kind of failure to follow the broadcast or for any other technical reason.

In case of delay or interruption of a match for any reason and not playing it on the same day, for all bets whose outcome may change by the end of the match, quote 1 is counted. Bets whose outcome may not be changed are valid. Example (if the match is interrupted at result 2:1 bet at 0-2 goals is unwinning, bet at 3+ goals is winning and bet at 4+ goals is counted with quote 1)

For the event result, only final result is valid, defined by first official announcement. No subsequent changes, individual or commission decisions are not to be taken into consideration.

If a competition is cancelled, delayed or interrupted and never restarted on the same day, bet for this event is invalid and quote 1.00 (one) is valid.

In case a participant has entered the competition field (running track, skiing track, field, ring…), he is considered to have taken part in the competition.

In case a participant has given up or has been disqualified during the competition, he is considered to have taken part in the competition.

When betting in Duel game, bet is considered invalid if at least one participant should not take part in the competition, if both participants should give up before the end, the winner is the one that stayed longer in the competition field.

If both participants should give up at the same moment, the bet is invalid and quote 1.00 (one) is counted.

RACING

Abandoned /Postponed Races or Meetings

Bets will be void if:

The race is abandoned.

The race is declared void.

Any of the race conditions or entries change.

If the overnight declarations do not stand, all bets are void.

Re-scheduled Races or Meetings

If a race or meeting is re-scheduled to later in the day, or to another day and overnight declarations stand (meaning that the race is not reopened) then all bets stand, unless a refund is requested prior to the off of the re-scheduled race. If a Board or Early Price has been taken on a re-scheduled race, bets will revert to SP. Horses which came under Starter’s orders in the original race but do not take part in the re-scheduled race will be treated as non-runners and returns on the remaining runners will be subject to Tattersalls’ Rule 4.

If the overnight declarations do not stand, all bets are void.

Amendments after the official result

Where a result is amended after the official result (i.e. the weigh-in), for example as a result of a successful appeal, the amendment will be ignored for settlement purposes.

First Past the Post (FPP)

All bets placed on UK and Irish horse racing will be settled on First Past the Post AND the official result.

This offer applies to winning single and multiple bets and the win part of Each-Way bets. There is no restriction on staking, and payouts are subject to our advertised payout limits.

Exceptions

The exceptions where First Past the Post does not apply and bets are only settled according to the official result are:

A selection taking the wrong course

A selection carrying the wrong weight or the jockey failing to weigh-in

Any Ante Post bet

A Forecast or Tricast bet

A void race

Any Tote/Pari-Mutuel bet

A selection given as the winner in error by the judge

A bet placed on a two-runner race or a special match bet

A bet placed in a “without the favourite” market

Any other special market

Horse racing bets placed on non-UK/Irish meetings are settled on the official result declared by the racecourse judge and confirmed by the ‘Weighed-In’ announcement. If a winner is disqualified after the official result is announced, the disqualification will not affect the settlement of bets.

Early Prices

Our Early Prices (that is prices offered after the overnight declarations are made) are available daily on selected races up to the first racecourse Show.

No Official Starting Price returns

We have revised our betting rules in order to provide the fairest settlement of bets for our customers in the case of no Official Starting Price.

If no Official Starting Price or Industry Off Course Starting Price is returned, your bet will be settled at Tote odds.

Place Prices

Place prices are formed as follow:

Fewer than 5 runners – All To Win

5-7 runners – 1/4 odds a place 1-2

8 or more runners – 1/5 odds a place 1-2-3

Show Prices Accepted

You can take the current Show Price on your bet, provided there are 3 or more runners. If a horse is withdrawn from a race, no further Show Prices will be available until a new market has been formed. Show Prices are relayed directly from the racecourse and displayed on our screens as part of our service.

Two runner races

If a race has 2 runners, all bets are accepted at Early Prices, Board Prices and Show Prices. Forecast bets are not accepted on 2 runner races. If a Forecast bet is accepted in error then it will be made void.

If a race is reduced to 2 runners because of non runners then Rule 4 rules will apply and Forecast/Tricast bets will be made void.

Unnamed favourites

Bets nominating the favourite are accepted where available on certain horse or greyhound races at Starting Price only.

The favourite is the selection returned at the shortest odds. When the favourite is nominated and two or more runners start at the shortest odds, then stakes are equally divided over the 'joint' or 'co' favourites created.

For example, if you place £10 on ‘unnamed favourite’ and there are two favourites, you will get a £5 bet on each of them.

Bets on the favourite are win only. If an Each-Way bet is accepted in error the place part will be void win or lose.

Walkovers / Void races

All bets on races declared a walkover or declared 'void' will be void, win or lose.

Withdrawals / Non-Runners

If a horse comes under Starter's Orders but refuses to race, the bet will be a loser.

In all horse races where a runner is withdrawn, or adjudged not to have started - and therefore been declared a Non-Runner by the starter - stakes on that selection will be refunded.

Bets on the remaining runners in that race, taken at Early Prices or at Show Prices prior to withdrawal, will be subject to a deduction. This is based on Tattersalls Rule 4 and is dependent on the Non-Runner's price at the time it was withdrawn.

In reformed markets, the total deduction on the two or more horses - one in the original market and one in the reformed market - will be calculated on the prices applicable in the original market.

Bets on horses in subsequent markets that then have one or more withdrawn horses will have a deduction calculated on the prices applicable to that market at the time of the withdrawal.

In the event that there is insufficient time to form a new market on the race, S.P. bets may also be subject to a deduction based on Tattersalls Rule 4.

Dead Heats

"Dead heat" is a term that generally describes when two participants in an event tie for first and second place. If a "dead-heat" is declared on any event, half the stake is applied to the selection at full odds and the other half is lost. If more than two "dead-heat", the stake is proportioned accordingly."

Win

If two or more horses dead heat for first place, then each horse in the dead heat is a winner.

Place

If two horses dead heat for first place, they fill the first two places. If three horses dead heat for first place, they fill the first three places, and so on.

If two horses dead heat for second place, they fill the second and third places. If three horses dead heat for second place, they fill the second, third and fourth places.
